Dieting Vs Lifestyles Changes
I always try to think long-term success. I want you to know that health, fitness, weight management is a lifelong journey. It is not easy for no one! No matter where you are in life, you will have to work hard and stay aware of your choices in order to manage your weight and look the way you feel your best. A short-term diet will not do this for you! I can pretty much say that I hate the word “dieting”. When you focus on long-term lifestyle changes instead of short-term dieting, you will 1st!!, be kinder to your body. You will most likely not experience extreme hunger, food deprivation, weakness, exhaustion, stress, mood swings, binging etc… Learning to live a healthy lifestyle teaches you to listen to what your body is telling you. And even though your weight loss may be slower, it’s more permanent. I think we’ve all got on an extreme diet at some point of our life, and regained most, if not all of the weight we lost. I’ve done it! It’s ever more discouraging. So, if you are on this journey to lose weight and become fit, try to focus on the long road ahead. I know it’s tempting to lose a lot of weight in a short amount of time, but this is bad for your body and you will likely regain the weight. Instead, shoot for lifestyle changes, focusing on your overall health and wellness. You will not regret it! Life needs to be enjoyed. Find balance.
