Happily Imperfect

Generally when I post a selfie like this one, I receive compliments about my feet, and it always surprises me. What you guys don’t realize is that my feet are completely busted! They are far from what we’d call, pretty feet. They are the way they are because I grew up practicing ballet and wearing point shoes for hours from when I was 8 years old until my mid 20s. It didn’t bother me when I was in the dance industry because that is very common. When I started modeling in fitness and having to wear bikinis and being bare foot most of the time, I became more self-conscious about my feet. It wasn’t such an insecurity on a day to day but I didn’t want them to be so apparent in professional images. As you probably know already, I’ve been on that “F&c/ it” mindset. I’m all about embracing imperfections because I have come to realize how little it is and how unhealthy is can become to continuously criticize ourselves. Focus your energy on what truly matters! Let them judge you if the outside is what you makes you put pressure on yourself to be “so perfect”. Own your insecurities! You have a gap in your teeth, own it! You don’t have to be shredded to be happy! Celebrate your insecurities and you’ll enjoy yourself in life so much more! #swanndaily #thedive
