Why You Should Do HITT!
High intensity training is the ideal workout for those with a busy schedule, for travelers and anyone looking to stay in shape, young and healthy! It’s perfect if you can only squeeze in a workout during your lunch break or want to get in shape fast.
You can achieve more progress in a 20 minutes of HITT done 3-4 times a week, than someone who walk/jogs on the treadmill for hours. Most people aren't used to pushing into that heart rate zone where you can't breathe and you feel like your heart is trying to jump out of your chest, but the fact is…extreme training leads to extreme results.
Trust me! Here is why I want to push you to do it…
Not only do you burn more calories during a HITT workout, but you will burn more fat and calories in the 24h after a HIIT workout than you do after a steady pace cardio session.
You don’t need any equipment to get it done! Running, biking, jump roping, high knees, fast feet, or anything plyometric like jumping lunges all work to get your heart rate up fast. You want the focus on pushing your heart to its max!
You can do it anywhere! It's such a simple concept, that is why I love it so much!
Go at maximum effort for a short period of time followed by a recovery period and repeat, you can adapt it to whatever time and space you have indoor or anywhere outdoor.
Everyone seams to be scared of losing muscles when dieting ond doing a good amount of cardio. To me, that sounds more like an excuse than a fact. It is not that easy to lose muscle mass. But if you are concerned, studies do show that weight training and HIIT workouts allow dieters to preserve muscles.
In addition to increasing fat burn and preserve more muscle, HIIT stimulates production of your natural human growth hormone which is not only increases caloric burn but also slows down the aging process, making you younger both inside and out!
I’s seriously challenging! This is not a workout you can do while reading a magazine or chatting with your friend. Because it's so short, you will be working hard the whole time. You may be in pain, you may be sucking wind, but you definitely won't be bored!
